- Rear Deck Lid: This reduced vibrations and prevented unwanted resonances.
- Trunk: Minimized road noise from the rear tires.
- Front Doors: Dampened vibrations and created a quieter cabin environment.
A Word of Caution:
Dynamatting the front doors was a bit tricky. I highly recommend having an extra set of hands to hold the door carrier away from the door. This will give you the clearance needed to apply Dynamat above and below the door braces effectively.
Upgrading the Sound Stage: Tweeters and Speaker Wire
With the foundation set, I moved on to the heart of the audio upgrade:
- Tweeters: I installed AudioFrog GS10 1″ tweeters in the dash corners, complementing the existing center speaker. These tweeters are known for their crisp highs and accurate sound reproduction.
